Program Summary
The Climate Innovation Challenge is a dynamic, impact-driven competition designed to inspire, empower, and support young entrepreneurs (typically ages 18–35) to develop and scale innovative solutions addressing the climate crisis, environmental sustainability, and green economic growth.
This initiative seeks to identify homegrown, youth-led innovations that leverage local knowledge, technology, and entrepreneurial drive to build resilient communities and promote the green transition across Africa (or your focus region).
Key Objectives
Drive Policy and Systemic Impact
Nurture green business ideas in sectors such as renewable energy, agriculture, circular economy, water management, waste reduction, and climate-smart technologies.
Build Capacity & Networks
Equip participants with skills, mentorship, and exposure to strengthen their innovations and connect them with partners, investors, and climate policy actors.
Promote Green Entrepreneurship
Nurture green business ideas in sectors such as renewable energy, agriculture, circular economy, water management, waste reduction, and climate-smart technologies.
Unleash Youth Innovation
Encourage young innovators to design practical, scalable, and locally relevant solutions for climate adaptation, mitigation, and sustainability.
